Horseback Riding – I want to be cowboy

This Saturday I joined an Activity group on the Internations expat community to go horseback riding in the foothill of the Andes. The trip included bus transport to the ranch, 3 hours horseback riding and great asado and delicious Chilean reserva Merlot (I was very impressed by the wine).

We were a group of c.18. Everyone was from various background. Interestingly there were 5 Jewish people in the group which was quite a pleasant surprise. Most people in the group lived in various parts of the world which I could really identify with given my somewhat nomadic life.

The horseback ride was phenomenal. Despite having riden once before I was able to fully control my horse which was a really great feeling. I really want to do more horseback riding in the future.

The scenery was quite spectacular. Everything was green and lush. The Argentinean side of the Andes, where I did my first horseback ride back in Janruary, was completely baren and dry….a stark difference.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
