Taking flying leaps into the unknown

Thank you Santiago

Today it was time to present the pitch I was preparing for San Fran at the pitch workshop our incubator organised. The workshop is really interesting however the mentor only speaks Spanish so it is somewhat challenging for me. However, I got lots of useful advice from him, the other startups and Marcelo (IncubaUC boss and startup whizz investor). Thus voila the pitch has been transferred. Thanks guys!

Whilst at the workshop I logged into the wifi and bammm more good news rolled in! NXTPlabs term sheet. Sweet!

Since December Diego and I have been progressing our application to NXTPlabs, a Buenos Aires based incubator. We submitted a detailed application online, had meetings in Buenos Aires, had a Skype pitch and a telephone interview. Quite a process!

The next 2 months will be insane. We are launching our MVP in days, are pitching to 25+ Chilean investors @ the IncubaUC Demo Day next week and have a pitch with Incutex where we were short listed in their upcoming incubator program. All this just before we fly to San Fran in about a week. Vitamins, exercise and rest will be needed to maximise energy. The Insanity training Alieu forwarded me is awesome. That with all the cycling I do makes up for all the junk food that seems to find me and all the sitting I do in front of my mac.

On a separate note, I am helping organise the next Startup Weekend in Santiago. I love Startup Weekend  so I am thrilled to help. Moreover, helping out will give me great experience in organising hackathons which someday Fundacity will do. Of course I will also expand my network in the process and spread the word of Fundacity.

Right I think Gabriela’s plane has landed so I best go to the arrivals gate.

Thanks for reading!
