Taking flying leaps into the unknown

Brain officially fried

My brain officially fried. Funnily this happened during a lazy Sunday night whilst watching Inglorious Bastards. As some of you may know the movie switches between English, German and Spanish…..and if you watch it on Chilean TV it also has Spanish subtitles. My brain, having some degree of familiarity with all these languages, simply couldn’t handle it anymore. When I started to speak to Gabriela the sentences were coming out in pure German….I actually did not realise this. Only upon seeing her confused face did it occur to me that whilst what I was saying made sense it was actually in the wrong language. I tried to revert to Spanish and a mix of French and German words appeared in my brain. Brain fried and it took some minutes for me to regain the ability to communicate in the tongue I wished to use. Rather interesting experience. I hope I don’t go mad 🙂
