From behind the Andes mountains far from global tech hubs and their publicity we grow stronger. We can’t leverage riding the wave of fame that comes from rockstar style media coverage that some idea stage startups receive in places like the Valley. However, undeterred, we work on customer development one email at a time and researching carefully who we would love to have as clients…country to country…gradually building that list of early adopters who we hope will love us.
Today, the world took note. Competitors from LatAm, Europe and US starting snooping and fishing on what we were offering and how we priced our services. How do we know? Well, at Fundacity we love to measure everything. With google analytics we review what users do and with our awesome Live Customer Support software Zopim we can engage with and see what users are doing. This live chat was like honey for flies. Today the CEO and a sales head from 2 competitors decided to engage with us via the live chat posing as clients. One actually wanted us to send him a document outlining all our benefits and prices. Cheeky bugger :D!
At first when Jerry called me over I was annoyed by the spies. I wanted to flip them off for wasting our time etc but then decided it was a grand opportunity to find out what they were doing. Thus, we started interacting with them via chat. Fun!
